IMHO (as I have pointed out in numerous other posts) 85% of the American people should be exempt from Federal Income Tax. The revenue should be collected from the remaining 15% with a exponentially progressive (from 10% to 90%) tax on all (salary, dividends, capital gains, inheritance, etc.) income from all sources. Sufficient revenue should be collected each year to pay current government expenses plus retire the Federal debt in 15 years. This might be a tough 15 years for our plutocrats but the country would wind up much better off.
A whopping 85% should pay no income taxes?

No, no, no, no, no! I vehemently disagree. Totally. Unequivocally. Everybody should pay some tax for all the services we receive. It requires them to be engaged, involved, and feel that they have a stake in things. If they work, they need to be paying something, however little it might be. And nobody should get back more than they pay in.

Sorry, apartments.com isn't a good source. Every time I've tried to use them, they only have the apartments that pay them to list. The cheaper apartments, generally don't have the money to spend on apartments.com advertising.

Hell, I know two, two bedroom apartments for rent in Destin right now for 600 a month, all utilities paid. You take into account, 200 for electric, and 70 for water, you're down around that 300 mark, and thats minutes from the beach.

Get out more.

You have been living in nothing but extremely low cost of living areas. Go ahead and find an apartment in Virginia Beach, VA for $300 or less. I doubt you can even find a ROOM for that.

Where I've lived you couldn't even rent a cardboard box on the side of the road for that.

It is hard to fathom that you think 85% of the people in this great country have NO financial responsibility.

Where in the world did you get your ideas?

Everyone reaps the benefits of this great country and should contribute to its financial being.

I have been a member of 3 unions They all raised my pay and served to increase my workplace rights. I am solidly pro union. My comments were meant to pull out responses from the ignorant anti human crowd. Thanx for helping me to clear this up.
