By the way, the humor was greatly appreciated.

As one of the "friendly" posters on here pointed out, I should have provided another option...None of the above. From the looks of this crowd, I guess Messiah should also have been an option.

New question:

How does everyone feel about the Unholy Triumvirate that is being established right under our noses?
Unhloy Triumvirate....interesting analogy. What I certainly do see being established under our noses is a bloody mess, drawn along racial lines. Really, what is the sudden galvanizing along race lines from this administration all about? Perhaps another description does need adding to the list, wannabe heir. Does Obama really think he is the heir to the civil rights movement, and will be enshrined with MLK as a trailblazer? Seems like it. Methinks he's just a tad bit late on the scene, which he knows, yet he just can't let it go and get on with his job. It's to convenient of a diversionary tactic. Politics as usual x 200 with a variable.

Unholy Triumvirate=Ahmadinejad(Iran), al-Assad(Syria), and Chavez(Venezuela). Everyone should take heed. This alliance could very well be laying the groundwork for WWIII. And, they all hate the West, America, and its ideals.

As far as I'm concerned, it's a sad, scary situation.

I think his election has actually set back race relations. It's obvious his election has not brought people together.

Indeed, considering that his platform for election was built on unity and coming together, quite the opposite has happened. Folks who heeded his honeyed words are now realizing that they could very well be chasing the devil to the very heart of hell. Buyers remorse is quite in evidence. Good grief, looking back at the Carter years and I thought those were bad. I honestly cannot fathom where he thinks he is taking the country, and how his ardent supporters can justify, the direction we are heading. I can't quite decide if the guy is really a wannabe dictator with a plan, or if he is just so inept that everything he does just grenades. He does put one in mind of a bumbling child, flailing about trying to fix the item he broke before Dad gets home ya know. Hey back Saucy!! Good ta see ya, and as always, a pleasure............

The thing that makes me agree with your words is that I keep seeing the "first black president" words that mean nothing other than that he is soooo special as the President. I have never thought of him as a black man but all that talk about him being the first one makes me think that his supporters want to keep the racial thing going. It has to end soon, because he is the President now not the first black one. After 18 months in the office it seems to me that those who want racial division so badly would finally ease up and just let him do his job.

Race relations have always been a problem with Democrats and I am tired of both things.

I have become convinced that The Man is really a wannabe dictator and who he is doing it for is what bothers me. Too many conspiracy like things have happened lately involving racial differences for them to not be on purpose. I am referring to the Sherrod case here. That thing has the look and smell of Cass Sunstein and Rahm Emanuel all over it. Well planned to try to get at Fox and Beck along with Breitbart. Actually I feel sorry for Obama and his halfway attempt to get out of this failure by his appointees.

I'm inclined to agree, mainly because of the guys obvious disdain for the will of the people. He has that attitude of' "Yea, I know you don't like this, but you just need to shut up and give me what I want because I know whats good for you". He does not handle his view being disagreed with at all. Kinda scary, his arrogance is, and his loyal followers are just as bad. Slobbering , drooling, and screaming like Magpies at anyone who dares to voice dissent. OK folks, he is getting his chance, it ain't working out so well, and yea, he still has over two years to go, so we all have to live with it, but quite telling us that we have to LIKE it!!!

Our only choice to stop all of this crap is to do so at the polls this fall. Yes, the Congress would get little done in the next two years but the rapid stomp toward socialism would get stopped if we get rid of Nasty Nancy as the Speaker of the House. I don't want Boehner, but he would at least fight whoever is the Majority Floor Leader of the Senate, that is if Dirty Harry is defeated this fall also.

We will determine the final ending place of this nation at the polls and that is scary to me. If we screw up again we are done for.

I am convinced that the type of people ( so called Americans) that believe the crap that is posted here are blind fearful racist lunatics. It is no wonder this once great nation is going down the tubes.

Travel, open your eyes and get an education.

This makes about as much sense as a screen door in a submarine. I have traveled, extensively, have actually lived for extended periods in other countries. What does that have to do with the way the wind blows? As to 'education' what learnings do you consider relevant to a persons ability, or right, to have an opinion? Or does whatever degree you have on your wall just equate to a license for a pompous attitude? As to your racism quip, well, show me this so called racism , would you please? I'm sick of this lib/pro screaming of racism when discussing disagreement with Obama's policies. It was old out of the gate and stinks like a dead cat in the crawlspace now.

You cannot deny that some of the antipathy towards Obama is racist in nature. The fact that there are people who are opposed to this administration for other reasons doesn't change the fact that there are some people for whom the main reason to distrust President Obama is that his father was black.

There are racists distributed throughout the American population. Some of those racists are Democrats. Some of those racists are Republicans. Some of those racists don't belong to any political party at all. Some of them live in the South. Some of them live in the West. Some of them are smart people, and some of them are stupid. Regardless of their educational level.

It's actually a healthy thing that we are discussing racism and the nature of racism in today's society. We've come a long way since 1960 in terms of how the different segments of society, divided not only by race but by other ways as well, are integrated. But we have a long way to go, still.

Being a Southerner, I can empathize with how frustrating it is when people use the racism label with abandon. Stereotypes are a ***** when all is said and done. And we should all work hard to dispel the inaccuracies of stereotypes. But we don't do that by insulting people, we do it by reasoning with them.
