Thank you for all the responses! The humorous ones, the serious ones,...they are all appreciated! These are real issues of concern to me personally. And, I have plenty more to come. I really want to discuss the "Birther BS" as someone else referred to it. I promise to respond, but right now I am having major computer/site issues. I didn't want anyone to think I had run away.

I'm not retreating! I'm reloading!

What a sorry excuse for a president Barack Obama has turned out to be. What a charlatan! Has he done anything right?

And, how come if he went supposedly went to Columbia nobody there had ever heard of him?

I'll throw out some of the issues of most concern to me at the moment. I'm hoping we can all have a civilized discussion about these very disturbing issues.

The ultra-Liberal American media-Spun out of control in my book. A perfect example is the film released of the U.S. helicopter attack in Iraq where the two journalists were killed. The U.S. was once again painted as warmongers killing innocent people. Innocent people? Right, two innocent people who were embedded with terrorists. I believe those two journalists were lacking in common sense, and they "happened to be?" in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Today we got to see, and hear, the real story! The original film that was released was doctored. Two of the terrorists, one carrying an AK-47 and the other carrying an RPG, had been cropped out of the video. I believe there might have even been 3 RPGs. There was also no audio to go along with the video. Whoever released this, distorted the facts, doctored the film, and left out the audio to push an agenda.

The facts are that the ground crew had been receiving constant fire from the area. Those two journalists were there, they must have known what was happening or might happen, eh? I say "innocent people?" HAH! So, the inevitable happened...the helicopters came in to support the ground crew that was being fired upon.

What we didn't hear when the video was first aired, was the ongoing dialogue. Nobody went in guns a blazing to shell out some cowboy justice. The final decision to engage was left to the military "lawyer," who was seeing and hearing everything that was left out of the original video. The "lawyer" would have been fully aware of the facts leading up to the helicopter attack, information that we as average citizens are not privy to. And for good cause.

Do not believe everything you read in the news, or on the internet. And do not believe everything you see on TV, or in the movies. Just keep in mind, that everyone has an agenda they are trying to push!

This is not an anti-Liberal thread. I hope no one reads it that way. It's about the wingnutty factions on either side! Notice I used the word "ultra." Extremism is another issue I have problems with, which leads to...

Goofy Grass Roots efforts-remember this is not about the left or the right, it's about the wingnuts and the ultras, whose minds are closed and who refuse to see the bigger picture. Examples from both sides would include Teabaggers and Code Pink. Which leads me to...

Our American president-This guy really scares me! What/Who is he?

a. A Socialist
b. A Dictator
c. A Marxist
d. An Elitist
e. An Oligarch
f. All of the above

This guy seems to have come out of nowhere. I had never even heard of the junior congressman from Illinois until he was running for president of the United States. Was he even born in this country? Why won't someone produce his birth certificate? Births/Deaths are supposed to be public record. And, why does the first lady refer to Kenya as Pres. Obama's "home country?"

Clearly, our American president doesn't believe in the constitution. And, he is grooming a law professor, who also doesn't believe in the constitution for a position in the United States Supreme Court. The professor thinks he can interpret the constitution anyway he wants. Why not just chuck it out the window? Is no one else bothered by the things this president is doing and by the direction in which he is pushing our country?

Comments. Thoughts. What say ye? Any and all are welcome! Even you Teabaggers and Code Pinkos.
This is the strangest "non anti-liberal" opening I've ever seen.

Do you actually have anything of substance to post?
I hope you are not referencing to me as I have not bolded anything and if you are talking to me, then yes I do have something to say.

Our POTUS was born in the US. It would be literally impossible for him to have even ran for office. There is no way he could've gotten away with "faking" his way through. And if he did, that means our government helped him. I can't believe people believe this crap. If your going to hate the man, hate him for legitimate reasons.

Obama has his own agenda and no matter what he is labelled.
I ask you this does he follow the princples of limited government?
Government has no involvement in corporations and corporations have no say in government. Everyone promoting it either way are not getting the best interests of the people at heart.
What is the best interests of people?
Limited government and individual freedom.

As far as media goes no matter what the slant as long as government is restrained and accountable the media will have no effect over the decisions of americans to run their own lives.
Should we be in IRAQ, is it our duty to nation build and where in the constitution and or the protection of our individual liberties does it say we have to protect democracy for the rest of the world.
Everything media does is to effect the role of governmemt. If people of America know the limited role of government media is stuck actually reporting the news.

Case closed.

"People talk about the middle of the road as though it were unacceptable. Actually, all human problems, excepting morals, come into the gray areas. Things are not all black and white. There have to be compromises. The middle of the road is all of the usable surface. The extremes, right and left, are in the gutters."
-Dwight David Eisenhower

Saucywench, I think that pretty much says it all!

Liberal media helped bring about the end of the Vietnam war when the horror was placed in front of everyone in their living rooms. We don't see anything on TV now in these wars in Afghanistan and Iraq that isn't highly edited for content. I wouldn't consider that liberal at all.
The media is liberal in the sense that it celebrates diversity and emphasizes our differences in the hope that we'll abandon all the things that used to define us.

I think the OP really is expressing their disgust with the manipulation that is rampant in the media and elsewhere, the misinformation that disguises itself as truth, and our unwillingness to demand better. Sure, certain portions of this whole scheme are partisan and ideological, but those things are used to divide and conquer. And anyone who continues to see one ideology as the evil one is being played for a loser.

Never mind the source, the cause. You'll never find its center, that's how its designed. Instead, do what you can to combat the influence by insisting on the truth, by living YOUR truth, and by realizing that we're all in the same boat. Ten million people thinking along these same peaceful and powerful lines can outwit and disempower the mere thousands pulling the strings while simultaneously empowering the billions who haven't yet awakened.

Wow, so many things wrong with the logic it would take books to review the fallacies of logic.

I do love the Oligarch and Socialist casting. Pretty much he would spend his days trying to destroy the men in power, but he is one of the men in power. It's funny when people use terms that are nearly opposite as synonyms, without any idea what they mean. I get a great kick out of it.

Brither, MSM ranter, tin foil hat nutter...boy, what are we missing in the crank spectrum?
