I agree with what Mr. Paul had to say about this particular issue. I wish more politicians thought the same way, but many use the military budget to hide the funding their own little re-election projects.
Agreed about Paul. I wish more republicans would pay attention to what the man is saying. FOX decided he shouldn't be taken seriously and they went out of their way to throw him under a bus during the primaries. Wing nuts don't commit seditious conspiracy against FOX because they're far too well fed.
I don't agree with most of Paul's views, but I at least respect his consistent criticism of U.S. Imperialism. I don't understand how anyone can claim to be fiscal conservative and defend this:
Ron Paul is a great example what hypocrites the so-called Conservatives are, at least on this forum.
They want less spending, but don't say a word when it comes to all the money for military and defense.
Ron Paul pretty much sums it up that most wars are fought for financial reasons.
Of course Fox News does not support him like the neocons. Murdoch has made a statement that his media follows a certain agenda and it did support the Iraq war, why should they support a true Conservative man that promotes peace?
I always find it extremely interesting how extremists of the far left and far right converge. The OP is a prime example. Radical leftists such as he are in love with Paul.
Fortunately, the great majority of Americans, whether they be Republicans, Democrats, or independents, are rational and moderate in their views. That's why extremists like Paul and his ideological pal Kucinich couldn't get elected dog catcher. It is the ideologues at either end of the political spectrum who are the potential danger to America or any democracy.
