I drive a 1979 Ford F250, 400 v8, C6 auto, Dana 60 rear axle and a full size 1978 Mercury Grand Marquis with a 460 v8, C6 auto and a 9" rear axle. Both are high quality well built solid vehicles with easy service in mind. I am not into the liberal or conservative nonsense.

In the past my car wasn't decided by some political platform it was decided by what I could afford, like "I have $3000, what can I get?" which got me a nice kept VW 88 Jetta a few years back. Or a car was given to me like from my parents, I inherited my moms VW 71 karmanghia when I graduated high school.

These days I have found my perfect ride. A Honda Element and I doubt I'll ever want another type. Good on gas, real reliable, jammin' stereo, easy to keep interior, weird yet edgy look. But most of all my choice for it is still not based on politics, it is based on the fact that.....

(1) It holds a whole bunch of my guitars and amps and I am a long hair looking guitar dude who prefers peace, sex and good times so does that make a "liberal"?

or (2) my Element holds a bunch of guns to haul to the gun range so does that make me a conservative?

or am I just a mutt?

"Weird, but edgy"?

Ok, I might buy the first part of that, but frankly "looks like half a loaf of bread" comes more to mind for the second part.

And on second thought, would kinda figure "weird" re: the politics too...

Great post, specially the second part (#2), although I like the first, too. Nothing wrong with music, nor guns (the more the better).

Made by Americans who belong to American unions.

And honestly, many of those vehicles are really fine automobiles.

Now, I prefer Ameican owned company vehicles, I honestly cannot fault people for their choices.
