You're point? Japan is also a police state. Police have been known to torture to get confessions. Without an armed populace, there is no check to government power. Is that what you want here?

Tyranny is always "safer" than freedom. But I'll take freedom any day. Better a short, full life, than a long life of boredom and restriction.

it is also legal for cops in Japan to beat a confession out of a prisoner and have it admitted into court.

just imagine how many people would still be alive today if we took all the firearms away from federal law enforcement?

Would tank ownership be protected by the second amendment? I just worry so much about my safety and feel no guns would compare to defending me like an M1 Abram would.

Read the tyrants posts around this entire forum. These people could care less about anything regarding freedom. Their only desire is to impose their "vision" upon everyone else, who are inferior of course, through government force. Their sole desire is to use force against anyone who disagrees with them or their utopian ideas. From banning guns to what people eat, their entire "philosophy" is that they should be able to decide everyone else's existence. "Other" people are only tools to bring about the world that "they" want to live in.

No, this religion of government that they worship, this deity of an all-powerful centralized thug, is not going to be swayed by the "ignorant" wishes of those who want to be free. They are "enlightened" tyrants who have no use for others who do not "cooperate" with their personal interests.

Have fun trying to convince the "omniscient" that they might just be acting like the tyrants, thugs, and megalomaniacs that they truly are. I wish you the very best of luck.

Hint: They already "know" what is best for you. They are a different species, the Divine among lowly humans. How dare you question Gods? You want to suggest that you can teach something to a God? They do not even believe that you should be allowed to have a different opinion, not that many of them would admit it, much less the freedom to express that in your life. In their wet dreams they have the power to exterminate you, or lobotimize you, or anything to make you comply with their personal beliefs. But nowhere, even in the deepest recesses of their madness, can they concieve of a world where you are free from their control.
