For starters...

No monetary contributions or gifts to our elected officials or those running for office.
All those running for public office will get an equal amount for their campaign expenditures from the public coffers.

Back on topic...

I saw the movie and I would hope most Americans including the tea partiers would have a problem with the big bank bailouts with taxpayer money. Also, corporations who send jobs overseas en masse should be villified. Some Americans don't see these things as harmful though, I guess they have their heads stuck in the sand.

Default What Will Americans Need To Do To Get Our Country Back?

If anyone is really serious (and I suspect only a small handful are), then we have to focus on cutting spending while at the same time increasing revenue (and that means tax increases).

We all have to bite the bullet and pay more in these taxes. In most cases, I suspect that many of us already are paying higher state and local taxes.

And we have to get serious about spending cuts. And that means we have wean a bunch of defense contractors from the government teat. This Republican president saw this clearly. We should follow his wise advice.

I like Ike
