why are there so many cry babies on this site about duplicate threads or it being in the wrong forum? I find that amazingly childish. Ignore them and let the mods do their thing. If it confuses you too much, you have other issues.
Why in the world would you think there's only one riot squad in the nation? Where did anyone say that?
I believe all police departments have riot gear. I know the police department I worked for had riot gear. It was one of many different uniforms they were required to have.
I have mentioned it before, when there is a VIP that is even THINKING about attending an event, the security is HUGE. One event we had was going to MAYBE have the Governor and Post Master General in attendance and there were snipers, bomb dogs, security from highway patrol, sheriff, police, postal security, dignitary service, 30+ event staff, folks were wanded before attending, it was a cluster. This is just how things are done when somone important is expected. The Gov and the Post Master General skipped the event but the security was still in place.
Sure they do. Not sure why anyone would think otherwise. I do find it odd that anyone would think the Tea Party protesters present more of a threat than violent illegals/pro-illegals, though.
I don't know... better watch out! That granny might pull a tissue out on you!
Protesters against bank bailout march on Wall St. (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100429/ap_on_bi_ge/us_wall_street_protest - broken link)
Noisy protesters with signs took over two bank building lobbies on Thursday in a prelude to a Wall Street rally by workers and union leaders angry over lost jobs, the taxpayer-funded bailout of financial institutions and questionable lending practices by big banks.
Hours before the scheduled rally, more than 100 people entered a midtown Manhattan building housing JPMorgan Chase offices. They handed a bank executive a letter requesting a meeting with the CEO, and chanted "Bust up! Big banks!" and "People power!"

So let me get this straight.
Those who want to protect the sanctity of this country are Nazis.
Those who use military force to combat peaceful protests similar to Germany in the 1930's are not Nazis.
I think I get it now.
Has anyone stood back and noticed how much we are fighting ourselves since Obama took office? He who is supposed to be the great uniter is a total fraud in this respect. He wants to divide the country and conquer it and shape it to his liking - which will set the citizenry back at least 2 or 3 decades.
When have we ever seen this many protests at one time about different issues?
This SWAT team episode was for more than just protecting Obama. He knows that Tea Party people are not violent. Call this psychological warfare against the people he is supposed to protect. He wants to show his opponents his power. He wants us to fear him. That's all this is. It's also more spending. We had to pay these robots to stand there and do nothing - in all of their protective gear. I wonder what they were thinking about all of this?
We need to remember where our power lies at citizens. It is in educating ourselves to the truth of the issues of the day (so we can discern their lies) and use our votes to remove the enemies from office.
I don't understand people who actually think this is OK treatment of American people.
