Vietnam re-enacts fall of Saigon to mark 35th anniversary of war's end -

Bill's the one who started kissing their asses, remember?

Now they celebrate the death of our soldiers and 35 years of totalitarian rule. And how do we reply? Why, by letting them ship us their junk while our own people go without jobs.

That makes sense. If you're brain dead.

And we love that cheap labor sewing our Nikes, while our own factories sit idle.

Ignore those facts if you wish.

I don't want them to do anything. They seem satisfied living as slaves and making our underwear.

But I simply see no reason for us to maintain cordial relations with people who despise us and who remain responsible for the deaths of 58,000 Americans.

What do we gain, other than the contempt of our enemies and greater profits for Fruit of the Loom?

Pursuing our current policy is an admission that all we care about is money, and lack any sense of honor. I'm sure that's fine with some people, like Bill Clinton and George Bush, who successively vulgarized and dumbed-down the Presidency and who haven't the faintest idea of what honor means.

It's not fine with me or, I suspect, with many other Americans.
