Funny to see little Billy at the round table with the Big Boys. He looked like a scared school boy. Like the bully at heart that he is, only talks "big" when noone around to refute or rebuff. Idiot Al has no business at the table, either. Totally out of his league.
Indeed. Loved his "I pass" reply when asked by Will about immigration policy.
Why they included an ignorant fool like Maher on a grown-up news and commentary program is puzzling.
Maher typifies the permanently adolescent "progressive" thinker, whose sources of information so often turn out to be second-hand urban legends and a quick surf through Daily Kos, Mother Jones, and the Democratic Underground -- not unlike the behavior of chimpanzees who groom each other's fur constantly, searching for edible nits and bits of salt.
As Alexander Pope warned, and as the truly educated among us is aware:
A little learning is a dangerous thing;
Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring:
There shallow draughts intoxicate the brain,
And drinking largely sobers us again.
this is all staged.they all work(libs,cons.celebs,talkshow hosts,civil rights,feminists,economist and so on)for big man international bankers.this oil spill is staged,because when i heard that women start talking about regulations i new something was fishy.in this country automotive,healthcare,manufacturing industries have been taxed and regulated to max. only industry that was not taxed or regulated is banking which will never be and oil industry.and that is what we are witnessing now

Bitterness clouds your judgment. It doesn't take a genius to suggest that Brazil relies on petroleum. Heck, it is one of the top exporters of petroleum to the USA at about 230K bbl/day, about 10% of Brazil daily oil consumption, which is at only 2.5 million bbl/day. Brazil is indeed a good example of working on reducing its dependency on petroleum, however, and began moving forward in the 1970s. There is, of course, a down side to that as well, but not a subject of discussion at hand. Even more interesting is the fact that Brazil has 192m people (about 60-65% of US population) and burns 2.5 million bbl/day (about 8% of US's daily consumption).
Oh, and Religulous was a great documentary. I highly recommend it. You should watch.
