I thought it was only appropriate to ask this since there is a thread about apologizing to the oil spill victims for driving gas guzzlers.

Show me one post where someone suggests that people driving cars, should apologize to people like me, who live on the gulf coast, for driving.

Just saw that thread, and its stupid. Driving cars didn't lead to the oil spill, poor regulation caused it.

Anyone who thinks because someone is driving a car, they are responsible for the oil spill, are a**hats.

Look down the first page for the thread started by censusdata. This thread is basically a joke in response to that one where it seems quite a few people are participating.

Ask the hybrid drivers to apologize to the displaced South Americans whose homeland is repeatedly raped to harvest the lithium ion for their batteries, not to mention the huge environmental destruction of the process, the profits from which are hoarded by South American despots like Morales and Chavez.
