What happened yesterday at the UN could not be a better illustration of the uselessness, or even worse - moral perversity - of the organization.

Now get the picture: A-jad makes a trip to speak to a meeting ostensibly meant to strengthen the Non-Proliferation Treaty. Now remember that Iran is under sanctions through multiple resolutions of the UN's own Security Council for violating the NPT. And the UN's own International Atomic Energy Agency has condemned Iran for refusing to abide by the treaty. The UN's own secretary-general informs the members that Iran is thumbing its nose at the treaty. Then A-jad does his rant, ignores all this, condemns the US, calls it the biggest threat to the world.

OK. Got the picture? So then A-jad ends his speech, and the UN delegations GIVE HIM A ROBUST ROUND OF APPLAUSE!

YouTube - US walkout on speech by Ahmadinejad 'shows West biased against Iran'

He received an ovation because he was putting down America and called us hypocrites for our use of nuclear weapons.

I thought the world loved us now because Obama is our leader?

HAHA! Those delegates in the UN loathe America. The ovation was a direct shot at Americans. I can't say that I blame them. I think we should leave the UN. There's nothing there for us except disrespect and needy countries that cost us millions.

Apparently more countries agree with him than Israel. Did whats-his-name from Israel get an ovation after his tirade rant?
