I'm really shocked by this, actually haven't heard about it until now. I thought UPS was doing good, much better than the USPS at least. More and more people are buying on-line, so I just assumed that UPS was doing OK.

Now if Congress could bailout the Cleveland Browns, then I will be on-board with that.

I've heard about this. But, what's surprising about it?
People ARE broke and have less to spend shipping stuff or much else thesedays.
I know they have recently announced some pretty big layoffs.
UPS and the USPS kind of make me think of Amtrak for some reason.

The point I was trying to make was it seemed like UPS was one of those companies that had it together and could make it through a recession on their own. Even Obama praised UPS and FedEx, admiring how better run they are than his own USPS.

it is just legislation designed to punish fedex.

since it is clear that the government can be bought, we just have more potential "buyers" out there.

I know. It's all good.
THIS recession has hit everything. I think I heard something recently....that maybe DHL? ......was doing alright? Not sure.
