allAfrica.com: Kenya: Obama's Grandmother Throws Party (http://allafrica.com/stories/201005041039.html - broken link)

"Mama Sarah appealed to the public to dedicate their time and effort to ensuring that they take care of orphans and the vulnerable people in the society.

"This is a show of blessing from God, since I have always dedicated my time to tend to the orphans. Even the US president passed through my hands," added the grandmother."

Why would a real grandmother let her grandchild "pass through her hands" pass to whom? She passed the child....she did not hold onto the child..

News flash: Grandmothers "hold" their grandchildren even when those grandchildren are in their 50's. Like Meson said, we can argue semantics until the cows come home. You're trying to read too much into so little said.
