If the substance is dangerous I would expect the story to be everywhere. However, if there is nothing then all the media would do is invite copycats.

The Arizona Republic, with a circulation of over 350,000, is the largest daily newspaper in the state. It is published by Gannett.

It doesn't get more mainstream than that.
