President Obama had a simple message Thursday for the Republicans who have tried to thwart his economic policies.

I told you so.

What economic recovery? There hasn't been any. Can you post some examples? We have 10% unemployment. Are you happy with that? Obama seems to be.

Under Bush, unemployment was at record lows. We have not seen unemployment this high since the (miserable) Carter years.

Obama has done nothing to stimulate growth. He has only supressed it.

No. It's no better. A few jobs were created, but a good chunk of them were census jobs that will go away here soon. Unemployment is at 9.9% and if you count all those who haven't had a job in months and gave up looking it's closer to 17%.
All I know is that I look around my community and see things shut down, houses abandoned and foreclosure notices on doors, and we are barley scraping by and this man says "I told you so". He is so blind to the real world, it isn't even funny..

Some news reports are pointing out that the high unemployment is related to more people going back out looking for jobs because they are seeing others now getting jobs.

Now here's a question for you about that statement.

If they are "back out" looking for jobs then assume they are NOT on unemployment ? Because if you are collecting you are supposed to be actively looking.

Now if they are not on unemployment then how are they counted ?
Who determined they are "back out" ? Did they have to call someone and give their status ?

I want to know how they count these people when there's no way to track them ?

If you get a check, you're counted.
If you don't get a check and don't have to check in..how are you counted when you decide to go out and look for a job ?
