Why shouldn't they believe him?
He's constantly asking the White Hose to give him a direct call to dispute any or all of his claims or the validity of them.
They NEVER call to deny a thing he says.
And...if he's lying so much.....where are the lawsuits (libel, slander, defamation of character, etc.) against him and Fox News??
GB along with big-government.com are further exposing all of the players on the international stage who are running the show now.....and what there ultimate agenda may consist of.
Where is the PROOF....that, what GB has been saying is not factual or true??
Maybe it's this lack of reply from this administration that has a lot of people worried.
There's a fine line between perception.....and paranoia but if everything GB's show has uncovered so far is even remotely true.......yes it is frightening and appropriate action should be taken to try and soften the blow when we all crash and burn......from whatever might happen as nation after nation falls from their excessive spending habits.....and socialistic ways.
Why should they respond to him? Nuts like him thrive on attention, and bothering to refute him would either encourage him to do it more or fuel his persecution complex (the governments trying to silence me!).
Some examples of his lies and misinformation:
His constant equation of progressivism and liberalism with socialism, communism, and nazism. He had an entire episode trying to tie progressivism to just about every dictatorship in the past 100 years. Any real historian or political scientist could tell you how dishonest this is, but he's repeated it enough that his followers don't even consider it an accusation anymore but undeniable truth.
Glenn Beck said that Obama was the first president not to be sworn in on a bible, even insisting that he "checked". This was a lie. John Quincy Adams was sworn in on a law book, Theodore Roosevelt used no bible, and Lyndon Johnson used a Catholic Missal.
Beck said that the health care bill provided health insurance for dogs. This was a lie.
Beck claimed that the 9/12 rally had 1.7 million people, when in actuality the numbers were around 50,000-70,000.
He said there has been "zero warming" in the past ten years, which is blatantly false.
There are many more examples, plus all the "speculation" he does that is completely lacking in factual basis, the twisting of actual statements, and the practice of applying labels in ways that intentionally bias viewers. Then there's the "I'm just asking questions" tactic that let's him weasel his way out of trouble when he's called out on pushing completely untrue viewpoints. He presents opinions about unknowns as absolute fact, and completely butchers journalistic integrity. There's no way to escape the fact that Glenn Beck is a habitual liar.
Yet, no instances to show these lies, with the facts to back it?

Beck is a shameless liar. Those who buy into his lies have nothing to contribute to the public discourse.

He scares my 86-year old grandmother, too. She tells me that since Obama is appointing "Czars", that we're all going to be Communists.
I tell her that Czars were Russian monarchs, who were actually fighting against communism. She shakes her head, "No." , and doesn't want to hear that.
I tell her that the term "Czar" has been used throughout the 20th century, including the Nixon, Reagan, and Bush administrations. She shakes her head, "No. We are all going to be communist. Look it up, Glenn Beck says he has it on his internet web site."
Then she gets all riled up, that her Medicare payments might be cut. I don't know what to say to her about that. She says she paid into it all these years; I don't have the heart to tell her that she paid peanuts compared to what she is taking out.
The sad thing is that most Americans are just like my grandmother. They are intelligent but ignorant.
You want something to be scared and angry about? How about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Nonenforcement by the SEC, and the "race to the bottom" in our currency markets. Get scared about Iranian nuclear capability. Get angry about preventable environmental disasters like the horizon spill or the TVA coal-ash incident two years ago. Don't get scared over this ridiculous crap from Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck.
