It is a good question why would he have and use a Connecticut social security number as he was supposedly born in Hawaii. SS #'s are given with numbers for the state in which they are issued for those of you who don't know how the numbers work.

It is interesting. Can you explain why a "citizen" of Hawaii would have a Connecticut social security number? The first three digits are an indicator of state. Can you explain, if his number is legit, how it happened?
The number isn't tied to a person's residence. It's tied to where the application is processed. If, for instance, Obama's mother decided to get him a social security number when they were living in Indonesia, the application may have ended up being processed in Connecticut.
