Their Dirty Little Secret: GOP Senators Say Bailouts Worked -- Just Please Don't Tell Anyone! | TPMDC
"Perhaps the most fascinating political conundrum of the 2010 election is one faced by GOP senators, almost all of whom voted for TARP and supported some of the other bailouts in the thick of the financial crisis. The good news is that, for all their shortcomings, the bailouts did the trick, preventing a deeper economic crisis. The bad news is those bailouts are now considered political poison by the tea partying conservative base.

LoL, the sad part is anyone with half a brain already knows the hypocrisy.

Considering many GOPer's took stimulus funds, and boasted it to their constituency.

Some even asked for more, after taking some and decrying it as evil.

The bailouts were highly successful, for the banks that is. For the rest of, get ready for hyperinflation. Since the GOP is also for the big banks this is to no surprise to me.

Hyperinflation has already been forecasted, you are right. Let's wait and see how this all plays out in a year or two.

I don't really see it as a conundrum at all. The only people worried are those that already hold office. The Tea Party has no qualms with getting rid of incumbents in favor of true fiscal conservatives. Those fiscal conservatives will undoubtedly run under the Republican banner, so even if GOP incumbents are booted out, they'll be replaced by other Republicans. The only people worried are those that currently hold office, therefore, I see this only as a game of cat and mouse of who can survive the current conservative uprising.

Even if the economy boomed, the deficit disappeared, businesses and jobs flourished, and our infrastructure became the best in the world, Republicans would continue with their sour attitude! The Repubs put themselves ahead of our country.

Until we have financial reform, that makes "to big to fail" a thing of the past, its only prolonging the inevitable.

We need to break up the big banks, so that if one thing goes down, we don't all go down with it.

someone actually reference talkingpointsmemo.com? Does the OP actually think that is a reference? I'll trade you two wiki articles and a huffington post and still have more credibility. It is just unbelievable that people actually think this is a valid resource. Talk about the walking uninformed..
