Interesting is there is a $75 million cap on liabilty against oil companies for oil spills.......Congress is attempting to increase the liability to $10 billion right now...Obama is not sure yet how much the liability should be....and,apparently is not supporting this amendment to existing law...
interesting is that bp is just a renter...they leased the korean made rig from...the us government....even more interesting is that governmnent regulators didnt catch the error.....even more interesting is the obama admin gave the VERY RIG, an award for safety in 2009
......the rig that exploded....was LEASED by BP (not owned)............previously leased by Royal Dutch Shell......... The next lease sales — (if any ) are authorized by the Interior Department ........meaning the owner is........The United States Government............and the rig was built by.........built in 2001 by Hyundai Heavy Industries Shipyard, Ulsan, South Korea......Gov’t awarded BP oil rig in 2009 for ’safety history’

dont type like that.........it makes you seem retarded............and it is very annoying...................maybe you shouldnt copy in paste if you have to use the dots............................or are the dots you leaving part of the......................story...........out...... .......?
...nice try but BP is more than a "renter". As with any large scale construction project, Transocean is one of many sub-contractors but as the principle developer and as principle developer BP employees were had the responsibility of overseeing the entire project. Where the rig was made is of absolute no importance and as for the award 2009 award given my the Minerals Management Service (MMS) to BP it was for offshore leadership not safety. Transocean received an award for safety based upon its 2008 record. Both awards were awarded by career MMS employees not by Obama appointees! Further the awarder of was none other than the soon to be "forced to be retired" Chris Oynes who was promoted to Associate Director for Offshore Energy and Minerals Management in... drumroll 2007, after overseeing the loss of billions of dollars due to improper record keeping!
Within every adversity is the seed for opportunity. This relatively small oil leak will provide us with the necessity for invention...........as long as we don't let the fear monger leftist prevent that from happening. Drill Baby Drill !!
