ALGOOD, Tennessee -- A teenage boy was injured in a drive-by shooting on Mill Street last night, police said.
The 15-year-old African-American boy told Algood Police Chief Jim Eldridge that three white males in a pickup truck drove by and yelled racial slurs at him, then fired two gunshots at him as he was walking along Mill Street about 7:15 p.m.
as sad as this is...what qualifies this story for a thread on city data when there are drive by shootings quite often in the US already as is....just wonder, not trying to sabotage your post or say you cant just wondering what lead to you pick this one out?
My local big news networks in Nashville are to busy to worry about a black kid that was shot by three white kids here in this small southern town. The kid was shot because of his race.

Because the supposed perps were white. Had they been black, this story would have been buried on the back page of the newspaper. Go figure.
I don't believe his story. Blacks typically don't cooperate with police even when they're the victim.
The woman out in her yard didn't mention hearing gunshots or racial things being yelled. She noticed him hunched over in the street and when she went over saw he was injured.
Why would the cops search all night if they couldn't find anyone who heard gunshots on that street?
