No parties please.

Can you just put down the reasons as to why it is a bad thing for the American people to have free health coverage? I know nothing is 4 free, but you know what I mean.

No, I don't know what you mean. As you said, nothing is free. Health coverage will not be free. So please, explain what you mean.

Free for the people who don't work for it maybe, but anyone that has a job won't equate "health care" with "free".

Besides, whats ANOTHER trillion dollars on the deficit anyway?

I have not read the bill verbatim. However, it is my understanding (somebody correct me if I am wrong) that people will be REQUIRED to have health care insurance. To me that is an infringement of my civil rights. I do not wish to purchase health care insurance. Yet I will be forced to do it or pay the penalty.

That is wrong. IMHO.

It depends how this all plays out.

If Barry and the Dem leadership feel this is as far as health reform goes and we're done as some (including me) Grayson and Denny supporters suspect, then this is nothing but a health industry bailout.

We are forced to buy a defective product from an industry that has been time and again put profits ahead of patients and bail them out even further with tax payer subsidies.

Now if we move toward an individual Medi-Care buy in AND/OR allow states to set up single payer or public option if they so choose AND bring the med tech, Big Pharma and hospitals under strong regulations and/or provide government competition then we can take pride in accomplishing REAL health care reform.

The "end of life" option...AKA assisted suicide

Free abortions

Tons more gun restrictions due to so-called mental illness

Every illegal alien and their family will flood OUR hospitals for their colds and scrapes

You MUST meet with a nurse every few years to discuss your plan in life..I think it's every four years

Trillions upon trillions more of debt to add on

People who don't want to work and are lazy can do nothing and still be treated. Everything is now a handout

People will be able to get "medical" marijauna along with other heavily addictive drugs for free such as oxycodone

Their is no privacy in your medical history, every doctor will be able to see your past whether you like it not

It's all another HUGE step to complete socialism. They bribe you with free health care and free everything so they can control every aspect of your lives. Get used too it and thank those who voted for Obama

It's not free!!! The only people it's "FREE" to is the people that don't pay taxes anyway. It's going to jack up taxes. Tremendously.

And isn't the whole point of medical advances to create better medicine? How does this accomplish that? More people will get less than adequate health care. More people will be denied treatments because they're not a high enough priority.

A simple grasp of common sense will tell you that this CANNOT work out like they've sold it to you. Obama and Congress have lied on just about every issue in the year he's been in power. WHY do so many believe that this will be any different?

The fools that supported this bill supported a bill that provides special interest groups more money to fund ridiculous projects. Not a bill that will better America.

We all understand that the Bush Administration left us a third world country unable to provide Health Care for our citizens like the industrialized world

If does nothing to address costs. It is simply health insurance subsidy legislation. The middle class dems just voted for the largest tax increase on the middle class and they don't even know it yet. Ignorance must be bliss.

Yet, you probably own auto insurance because the law requires you to do so.

I just don't see the source of outrage on this one.

- And the OP made a horrible mistake by listing it as "free". Just opens the door for all the misnomers that this is some universal health care program. It's not - at all.
