Latest reports are, so far so good and another 48 hrs we will know whether it worked or not. You have to remember this has never been done 5000 ft under water, so it is sort of experimental.

I appreciate that Obama stood in the East Room and took responsibility for this mess.
But i want action.
I don't want "Top Kill" i want "Over Kill" i want them to dig into the same oil pocket, install a better designed capture mechanism, and take oil from there to relieve oil pressure from the broken pipe.
then i want booms everywhere. like 40-50 layers of booms so when the oil breaches one boom it has to deal with the next boom.
they earn monumental amounts on drilling our shores and shores around the world, they should be spending monumental amounts to clean this mess up.

Dig??? If you meant drill there is a problem. Rotary requires surface pipe to bring out the cuttings. How would the seal this now??
PM me and I will let you run a rotary drilling rig. You will see how easy it is.
There is a rather large difference between volcanic eruptions and the fourth largest company in the world drilling irresponsibly, cutting corners and mitigating liability right in front of a government who is not only too lazy or corrupt to regulate them but also has the nerve to subsidize oil so politicos can keep their jobs.
They're so wealthy, they could pay any fine, withstand any sanctions and survive any boycott. We made them that way by "deregulation" (rape of the earth) and sharing in the self-castrating use of fossil fuel far too long.
Remember the "too big to fail" kleptomaniac meme?
Well BP is too big to **** with.
As shameful as it is, we all share the blame, just like addicts share the blame for drug trafficking.
After whatever happens, maybe a few grown ups will realize oil funds terror, destroys the environment, coal and natural gas ain't any better and it's time to fund a little research into the next source of energy.
Or maybe we'll get lucky, it'll all dissolve, and we can go back to our non-negotiable, suicidal way of "life."
I don't think that there are enough "grownups" in this country to realize anything as profound as the consequences of our hydrocarbon addiction. Just a lot of big, spoiled children who only care that it won't cost them too much to gas up their 6,000 lb. trucks so they can drive around on Memorial Day Weekend.
What needs to happen is a significant, long-term increase in all energy costs in this country. That would wake people up and maybe we could learn to conserve again, like we did after the Arab Oil Embargo of the 70s. And hopefully a significant price increase would also inspire funding for more research into renewable energy technologies.
Short term pain could translate into long term gain.

Using his aquatic telepathy, Aquaman summons 5 giant orca whales from the Atlantic, who move a big giant rock on the surface of the sea to plug off and seal the hole in the bottom of the Gulf!!!!!!

well i hope it all goes as planned, but i don't believe these liers.!!! i have the live feed on and it does not look any different than the live feed footage of yesterday.. cnn had engineers on the show yesterday and they were saying that mud was coming from the top of the bop when actually bp had halted the top kill procedure for 16 hours making all the media look like fools... bp has done nothing but lie since day one.!! they had video footage of all the leaks from the first day they sent rov's to the leak sites knowing full well that their was way more oil esscaping from the bop. but they tried to cover it up by not releasing all the video footage..these people are criminals and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
when i see a fat lady pop out of the bop and light a cigar then i will believe these liers that the well has been capped.
B.P.B.O.P..>> ABBREVIATION>> BIG PARASITE BUBBLING OUT POISION
