No one should, but Iran also isn't surrounded by 100 jewish countries.
It's surrounded by the US military and the IDF which is far more dangerous.
I hope Iran has the courage to build these weapons just on principle. Why should the USA and Israel be allowed to bully other Nations to bend to our will?
They are surrounded by enemies hell bent on wiping them off the map. Those same neighbors have a horrible record of breaking treaties and accords. For Israel to agree or sign a nuke agreement would be akin to signing their own death certificate. They are not fools.
For Israel to give up its defenses would be suicide.
If the IDF threw every last bullet into the Mediterranean tomorrow, what would happen? Don't tell me. The OP would say that peace would break out!

I am getting more and more fed up with Isreal! They are constantly playing hard ball and are not very good allies to us nor do they do anything that would indicate they want peace-----what is wrong with these people???
Isn't this the same country that was asked not to retaliate during the 1st Gulf War, when Sadaam lobbed scuds indiscriminately at Israel, at the US's request for the US's benefit?
Isn't this the same country, that works in cooperation with the US to do research & development of defense & miltary technology? The same country that is unable to freely export it's own defense technology?
If you ever get your wish and Israel didn't exist, you better be prepared for Intifadah to sweep through Europe & the US, all the way up to your own backyard.

How does that even make sense? they are not part of the NPT and therefore do not require inspections by the UN inspectors. They are breaking no international treaties or pacts by having nukes (U.S. provided).

Gosh that was so big of Israel not to retaliate for those SCUD attacks that killed 1 single Israeli while the USA was already bombing Iraq to smitherens...LOL

You talk big, but I can guarantee if Scuds were being lobbed over your home, with missile heads containing who-knows-what, you would wonder WTH your country, with the capability to defend itself was doing when it relied on luck and other countries to protect it.
