Sometimes I really wonder if there are more than a handful of grownups on this forum anymore. Anyone who can find the end of a 40 year marriage as something to make nasty comments about has some karma coming.

Divorce after forty years? That is indeed sad. Not to say Tipper and Al didn't maintain their relationship, but marriage can be like keeping an old car. If you want to keep it running well, you have to maintain it daily.

Excuse me but I have to go and tell my wife of 38 years I love her.

Does this mean she'll be able to testify against him at his eventual RICO trial for the government backed carbon credit scam?

It's sad. I find it courageous. To be married for 40 yrs and decide to separate/divorce. We really don't know how long this has been going on for them. Do I stay in a marriage or do I end it after 40 yrs. Do I dare to be single after 40 yrs. Both will survive.

What's to wonder about? Al Gore is an idiot, and she probably finally realized it.
