Don't worry about Obama, or gloat, for that matter. I suspect that, more than you, he expected that situations like this would make for negative publicity. Tell me, what doesn't make for negative publicity for Obama? So, this oil spill thing going negative, a surprise?

I feel that he is, but not only because of the current oil spill, this terrible accident or whatever you want to call it, but because of how he handles business in D.C. and his spending habits, and his whiny cry baby type attitude, and his blame everyone but me attitude, yes i think he is.

You know what, though? If it's something he inherited, some buck that was passed or some crisis that is the result of action or inaction by the earlier administration, he has every right to note that fact.

Keep in mind that many, many folks are so feeble-minded that they believe the financial crisis began with Obama. Many are trying to blame him for us being in Afghanistan.

Anyway, when is the last time he noted that his admin inherited some adverse thing? It's been quite a while seems to me.

Maybe he should stop saying "I am the President of the United States of America, the buck stops with me" all the dang time, because you can't say that, and then shy away from questions about things that really impact us as a nation. He talks tough, but does NOTHING to back up that talk.
This leak wasn't going on while Bush was pres. He cannot blame Bush any longer........for anything....

The buck does stop with him, you're comparing apples and oranges. No, the leak wasn't going on while Bush was pres, but the lax and corrupt Mineral Management Service of the Bush admin years allowed oil outfits like BP to romp all over them -- now, there's a new pres in the WH and he is reaping the results.

Hope this helps.

He certainly has the right to point the finger at someone else but it certainly is not indicative of mature leadership.

And also keep in mind that some are so weak-minded they think the economic crisis started with George W. Bush. I don't blame Obama for starting the crisis but I do blame him for keeping it going. Regarding Afghanistan, Obama shares as much blames as Bush.

Unfortunately you are wrong. As late as May 22nd when Obama spoke about the BP spill, he said, "We know, for example, that a cozy relationship between oil and gas companies and the agencies that regulate them has long been a source of concern."
