Except people are not born with a cop uniform... they have to choose to wear it...so your point kinda falls apart after that.
Why not? They don't want uniformed cops (and probably uniformed military service members as well) so why not put out a sign to let them know ahead of time that they're not welcomed there. Then those officers, military service members, and other potential customers will know exactly where the owner stands on the issue. Let them man up, grow a pair, and put their views openly right outside their restaurant for all to see.

And if something happens to their store, who are they going to go to? A "private security firm" is still going to turn the criminals over to the government and the court system. Indirect benefits of the court system exploited by a couple of hacks who own a coffee shop.
So four officers detaining someone interrupting the football game are somehow worthy of a mob's wrath?
That isn't the "underdog biting back." That's a crowd of idiots assaulting the same people they expect to protect them at night. You can not sanely justify that kind of excessive force against four officers.
