That's an encouraging sign, hopefully racism will die out, sooner than later.

Default 'R@ghead' remark: latest flap in So. Carolina Republican Gubernatorial Primary

'*******' remark: latest flap in So. Carolina race - U.S. news- msnbc.com (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/37518532/ns/us_news/ - broken link)

"COLUMBIA, South Carolina - The mud being slung in South Carolina's Republican gubernatorial primary got dirtier after a state lawmaker slurred the Indian-born woman leading the race -- as well as President Barack Obama -- by saying "We've got a r@ghead in Washington, we don't need a r@ghead in the Statehouse.

On Thursday, state Sen. Jake Knotts, also a Republican, used an ethnic slur to refer to Haley, whose parents immigrated from India.
"We've got a r@ghead in Washington, we don't need a r@ghead in the Statehouse," Knotts said on an Internet political talk show."

..and people on the right claim race is no longer a factor. We have a republican gubernatorial candidate using racial slurs. Sad.

Ok, pick one, they're all equally insidious.

How about no racial slurs, slights or associated BS?

As mentioned in another thread - the remark was directed at fellow Republican Nikki Haley - who is endorsed by Palin and Romney.
Nikki Haley for South Carolina Governor

You seem to think that's unusual in South Carolina.

If so, you know something I don't.
