But as Leslie Gelb, former president of the Council on Foreign Relations, writes, the blockade is not just perfectly rational, it is perfectly legal. Gaza under Hamas is a self-declared enemy of Israel — a declaration backed up by more than 4,000 rockets fired at Israeli civilian territory.
Yet Israel is accused of international criminality for doing precisely what John Kennedy did: impose a naval blockade to prevent a hostile state from acquiring lethal weaponry.
Israel is well within their right to board and search/confiscate weapons. We all know now that if this flotilla were serious about sending aid to gaza, they would have taken the route of least conflict, but they just followed the cue of the obama administration, whose actions and behavior toward Israel have given the rest of the world the go-ahead to attack her.
One mentions Ayers and Dohrn not to dwell on the past but because -- hello! -- the pair has been involved with the Free Gaza movement, one of the organizers of the so-called "Freedom Flotilla." Venezuela's Hugo Chavez has announced that he, too, would like to participate in the next running of the blockade -- and why not? Obama has blessed the project with success.
Yes, there is little doubt that nations hostile to Israel are embolden by obama's apparent disdain for an ally, they see his tacit approval as an opportunity to create an international incident, to knock Israel down a peg or two, too force her to ease the blockade and give ground on other issue.
Quote:
Hamas' charter calls for Israel's destruction, and for the murder of all Jews "no matter how long that should take."
The above gives Israel every right to protect her borders and citizens in any way they see fit.
I still cannot fathom how the Left can so readily side with terrorist organizations like hamas and hezbollah.

But this was in international waters-and if you care about law and order, and not your own ideas of it (which people like Hitler did), you will agree that Israel broke international laws.
America is behind Israel. It is the radical Left, who are supporters of hamas and hezbollah, that are against Israel.
Not with Israel's latest actions--more and more American's are turning against this viper in the Middle East. What does Israel's loyalty offer us? More danger to Americans overseas? 16 billion plus in loans when America's infrastructure is in ruins? Shooting people on a boat in international waters? How does that improve America's standing? It doesn't--it endangers us, and that is our payback for a half-century of supporting israel. We are spied on, our sailors killed, and our world standing diminished by our kowtowing to an international renegade run amok.
