My husband and I are coming down mid-September. Will the turtles still be nesting on Hutchinson Island or is it too late?

Yes- I believe they are, but it will be the tail end (pardon the pun) of the season. Just stay the winter and see them again in the spring!!

Nesting season is pretty much over, but you might still be able to catch some babies venturing to the water. We usually see them at sunrise when we do see them .

Just remember- it is illegal to touch the younglings as they make their way to the ocean. You are not allowed to touch them or pick them up!!
