You can't buy it at any of the home mega-stores, and sod operations claim they only sell by the pallet. Palm City Sod said they'd sell me the small amount except it's been coming out of the fields very slowly these days and they need every bit to complete their projects. I need only 64 sq. ft. to complete my project. Any leads would be appreciated.

Is this what you need? This is a great time of year to plant seed. Not much more prep than sodding.

That grass seed is expensive, and who knows if it will catch. I would prefer to get sod, but you may just have to wing it with the seed. Good luck!

Did they quit selling it at Home Depot? Usually outside the gardening area there are open pellets and you can pick up what you need.

I planted Bahia in a spot at my condo and it came up within a few days. Yes some didn't take but I went back and filled in. Actually if you build a mould (or is it mold) you can use miracle grow and make your own sod. I mix it with reglar top soil and use it to patch brown spots in the yard. The St. Augustine loves to grow over it quickly.

I know of a place but it's pretty far from you. Sod Depot in Malabar.

Thanks, all, but Palm City Sod finally came through yesterday. We rushed home, laid the sod and had the pleasure of watching all that nice rain from the tropical storm come down on top of it to give it a good start.
