Hooray ! Welcome to the Sunshine State ! Looking forward to hearing how you settle in, and how the house building goes. Don't forget to get your Florida driver's license soon... first official step to becoming a Floridian !

Thanks folks - going to start the license process this week - stopped by the house yesterday (again Flo, thanks for keeping us updated!). Framed and plumbing done. I suppose the next thing will be the slab. Very excited!

The slab is not the first thing down ?
In my 30 year old house, the plumbing is in the slab along with the AC pipes.
I wanted to look at 3 new builds going on down the road from me, but never had the time too, I love looking at the guts of a building.

I really don't know much about construction - the perimeter of the house is framed and the plumbing PVC pipes are all in place. I assume they pour the concrete next?

A little cool but I expect it will warm up soon! I really like the warm weather so for me, this really is paradise!! Move went well going out of NY - expecting things on Thursday. Got the best possible news today; mortgage person (who deals directly with Minto) says we are scheduled for completion on July 28th. Of course I realize things can change but he did say Minto is ahead of schedule. Boy Flo, I can't believe the number of houses going up in TownPark.

Javaman, glad all is going well and I am more than happy to keep you updated! Minto just released the last lots that would be available in Bennington and have started a few more spec homes. Fieldstone is almost finished as well, which only leaves Stockton with unreleased lots (I better ride my bike over in that direction to see if that has changed). We are all hoping that Phase II will start to happen soon. I am really looking forward to having Phase I completed. I walk a lot and it's great to keep on the sidewalks and go through all the villages.
