We've been checking out Active 55 Communities along the Central FL Coast. Some things quickly became apparent. St Lucie County is a little bit too crowded for the move we're looking to make. The RE Tax Rate is also at the high end of the scale.
Martin County seems to have a better idea about these things. I didn't see the same level of over-building.
The 55+ Community that first caught our attention was Cascades in SLC. Newer SF Homes, Great Amenities, Good Location. But it has all of the above mentioned drawbacks.....1100 units is on the large side. And there's the taxes.
We've looked at a few in Martin county -- Ibis Point, Duckwood. But I want to be sure we're seeing the whole picture in this area.
What do the local Realtors think about the places available in Martin county.
