Couple from Texas, early 50's, looking for on-lake living, gated community, private pool, near parks, recreation and amenities. Have found a number of homes in SRL that seem to fit the bill. Anyone have more information on this community? Are the "lakes" stocked? Insurance rates? Thank you.

The "lakes" are retention ponds. The lots are very small. For any real freshwater fishing you'd have to go to the Sebastian River, Stick Marsh, or Blue Cypress Lake. The kind of place you're describing would be better found in the Mount Dora, Eustis, Tavares area.
