Hey all,

I'd like to start exploring a vacation home for ourselves. We live in Fort Lauderdale and need a place to get away on the weekends. Too much hustle/bustle in Broward county.

Could the community recommend a good beachfront condo complex with the following characteristics:
1) Strong HOA & strong reservers
2) All ages community (no 55+)
3) Good beach condition...wider beach that doesn't have the ocean right up to pilings or a seawall at high tide
4) Pricing at or below $250k for a 1 bedroom oceanfront condo
5) Balconies looking either directly or side view
6) Mid-rise or high rise...dont want to purchase on ground floor.
7) A liberal rental policy to allow would be nice, but not critical

Also - recommendations on a RE agent that focuses on beachfront condo's would be great.

Thanks!!!

South Hutchinson Island is a great location. You feel far away, but are close enough to amenities.

Some of the buildings to look into include:

Islandia
Island Dunes Oceanside
Oceana South
Princess
Oceana North

There are tons of other buildings as well.

Look in to Ocean Village on Hutchinson Island as well. They have a bunch of different cluster type housing to choose from (all with different style and different rules). You may even be able to find a 1 bedroom overlooking the water/beach.
