We'll be flying into Portland in a few months for a scouting trip to our future home state! (Yes, we are extremely excited!! ) We're flying in on a Monday and plan on spending that first night in Portland before heading further north. Can anyone please tell me if businesses, and especially restaurants, are closed on Mondays? Our flight arrives at 11 am, so we'll have a big chunk of the day to spend in your great little city. Thanks for your help!

Mondays are not legal holidays in Portland, as much as most of us would love to have Mondays off as far as I know, everything is open.

Thanks, mermaid! I was just curious since we've been to different parts of the country where many restaurants are closed on Mondays.

^Maybe it's just me, but I've noticed Tuesdays are actually slower (with more restaurants being closed) in Portland than Mondays.
