Hi:

Anybody have any thoughts on Wilsonville, specifically; how are there schools? is the area family friendly with a great sense of community? are there lots of great parks/child play areas? lots of outdoor activity nearby (hiking, biking, etc..)

Thanks,
Ron

It's a fine area. No real need to compare it to Beaverton, Newberg, Etc.. There are many fine areas.

But Wilsonville is a good area - plain and simple.

One of the better picks in the Portland metro area.

I lived in Wilsonville for 10 years. There are lots of kids there, but not so many that the schools are crowded. The high school is particularly good. The kids I've known that have gone there have been really great and down to earth.
There are some nice parks and playgrounds. Also mini golf, movies, a nice library, and boat docks. I really loved it a lot. Sherwood is also great for families, especially with younger kids.

I'd be very willing to buy there.

Probaby would too, except that I drive to the coast every week or two in the summer / fall practically, and I can cut an hour off the trip by moving to Hillsboro or Beaverton. Otherwise....Wilsonville would be one of my top few choices.
