Can you guys please tell me if these cold temps we are having are normal in Portland?

I mean I didn't expect 30 degrees in PDX, other than maybe in Jan. I know it's been sunny which is a blessing. But it's a bit cold in the morning/late evening. Thanks!

Not necessarily normal, it's a little late. But generally speaking -- in the winter months, if it's clear, it's probably going to be colder than normal.

I'll throw my two cents in here - while it is not necessarily "normal", the abnormality is the AMOUNT of rain we've gotten. Not the "rainy" days, but the accumulation. And no, the cold weather is not abnormal. It's cold in Portland. It's cold in the NorthWest. It's the trade off for the natural landscape. Keep those jackets zipped up!

PDX temps have been below normal every day this month except one. There's your answer.

Checking weatherunderground, so far the average high temp in April has been 52 and it's normally 59, the average min temp has been 40 and it's normally 45, so it's been cooler than normal.

As we said the last time the OP brought up this year's weather, it's a strong La Nina year, which means cooler and wetter, and the forecast is for La Nina to stick around until June or so.

Not usual but I am not complaining. This is my kind of weather. For those who love the sunshine, cheer up. It will happen right after Rose Festival.
