We tend to hate people we closely resemble.

Did someone mention Akron? I once met a woman from Akron while vacationing in San Antonio. Lovely woman. We buddied up since we were each travelling alone and had a great time. She told me all about her hometown and it sounded really nice. I must get over and visit there someday.

I've never heard a bad thing about Akron. Isn't that where Klinger from MASH was from?

No, just looked it up--he was from Toledo!

I loved M*A*S*H. One of the best shows ever. Even the later, more emotional ones.

Yup, he was from Toledo, thus the reason why you occasional heard/saw Mud Hens, Toledo's minor league baseball team. He grew up not far from my Dad, who was also from Toledo.

Akron is the "rubber capital". Where Firestone and Goodyear were both located in their heydays.

PS: There's some things to see in Akron, but it's not the greatest town in the world, unfortunately.

When I was a kid, my dad watched M*A*S*H every night. I didn't care for it then. now that I am in my 30's I really love the show. I recently bought Season 1 on DVD. I still need to buy the other seasons of it.

San Antonio! One of the best cities ever. Riverwalk is a model nearly every other city in the US that can is trying to emulate.

That is my assessment based on trying to find any interesting Museums there, during two different trips to Massillon. It was kind of interesting to see the balloons out on the air field. But other then that...
