Already searched the forum; didn't find any info.

Considering a move to Lake Oswego end of Sept and trying to get a good idea of expected utility charges. I did read up on their water increase in July and 2 people will be looking at a water bill of $160 over 2 months. :-o Accurate? We're not huge water hoarders; and our apt likely won't have a washer and dryer in it... so... it would be lower, correct? $140ish? Maybe $100!?

What about electricity? 2 people in a 750 sq foot apartment. Not fans of the cold, but more likely to use a portable heater most of the day than to turn on the apt heater... estimate?

Would you say utility charges are somewhat equal between Lake Oswego, Tualatin, and Tigard?

Random question: when winter hits, how often do power outrages occur up there?

Contact PGE and the water company, give them the exact address. They will both tell you what the average was for the last year.

Are you sure? Most apts here have a w/d in the unit.

When I called about my apt, I was told $50-150 during warm months and $100-250 for cold months.
My first month here, with w/d (1 load a week) and I don't cook except maybe once a week, in an all electric apt, with 1-2 fans running most of the evening/night due to the heat.....about $40 for the month.

As someone else suggested, if you have an address, just call the utility company and ask about the last years usage.
