It's really quiet around here lately, I see more Portland posters commenting on other parts of the forum. There's no real debates or interesting threads going on. I guess people are sort of burnt out on the usual topics over here. Except for a few occasional people inquiring about relocation advice, this forum seems really, really empty...

Also, what happend to Steve Pickering? That guy used to be on every thread...what happened? Is he on City-Data probation or did something actually happen to him?

Maybe too many redundant topics and the occasional obvious trolls really scared people away...

I check in most days but I don't find much that to comment on. Maybe we all miss the trolls? (kidding, sort of)

Well, glad he's still okay.

Yeah, I just read something on that--looks like a pretty big building. That area is going to continue to change a lot in the next decade. Where was the photos of the rendering? They've done something to the old building(convention plaza) just to the left of the bridge when you come over from downtown--I was driving by there last month and they were having some sort of party on the roof celebrating the renovation of it.

Well, here's an aggregate of different articles and images, including renderings of the projected buildings.

I don't think it's just the Pdx forums that are slow - most of the other city pages I look at seem slow as well.
