The Central Oregon Interagency Dispatch Center reported 3,000 lightning strikes Sunday afternoon with about 65 smoke reports. Warm Springs Fire Management said there were about 1,000 strikes on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation with about 30 fires.

It doesn't. None of the areas mentioned in the article are in the Portland area.
