@Yankeemama

You gave me the idea to look at gyms and I discovered Stoneworks (a climbing gym) in Beaverton. If I could be within walking distance of that, it would make up for a lot.

@VTHokieFan

I am relatively familiar with Goose Hollow. I never thought that it was within my price range, but I'll take another look.

I googled the gym and it looks like it's in a busy commercial area. Beaverton has sidewalks and decent bus service in areas like that so it wouldn't be too difficult to get by without a car. Murray is a major thoroughfare in Beaverton which has a bus that goes along often shuttling Nike workers. Nike campus is at the northern end. My husband takes the bus or calls Uber if he needs to get to the train station, which has a line going to the airport. I was surprised to see so many people in your demographic living out this way without kids but many Nike and Intel employees don't want to deal with the headache of commuting.

Nike's has a lot of single employees, at least it did when I worked there.

As a Realtor I am very familiar with the area, I would go with Sellwood, or the Pearl District.
Sellwood has amazing shops of all different kinds and endless amounts of coffee shops.
As a coffee lover myself, I am a big fan of Sellwood and even the Woodstock area.

Good luck!

What about South Waterfront (formerly known as Corbett Terwilliger-Lairhill) in South Portland? Might be pricey but you will see a lot of young professionals working in medical fields.
