The hubby and I will be visiting Portland for a wedding on July 3rd. We want to spend a few extra days there to visit the city~~I drove through once on my way to Seattle and I was mesmerized. So, my questions are: 1.) What must we see/do? 2.) Where must we eat? 3.) Where should we stay? (I am thinking downtown b/c I generally love downtowns. We would need a 3 star hotel too 4.) What do we do on the 4th of July?

If you like blues, that's the weekend of the Waterfront Blues Festival in downtown Portland: July 4-8 at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. On July 4, they also set off lots of fireworks over the river --
