I am trapped at work. The traffic on the side streets is horrible, and there are wrecks everywhere. Co-workers are throwing snowballs at each other in the hall, though, so it's not all bad.

It's still snowing here in the Glenfair neighborhood, close to the 148th MAX stop. Half inch and still coming down.

{Posted with tongue FIRMLY planted in cheek!}

OK, with a few inches of snow in Portland, and with the fun of Bumper cars I witnessed , I figure a fun drive like yesterday was at least a "C" or even maybe a "D" ride ticket.

I mean, I didn't see any salt trucks, or anything.

Since no one expected the fun times, probably few drivers had previously purchased their "C" ride tickets. So the question: who, or where, does one purchase such fun ride tickets? Are the panhandlers selling them? Someone, with a twisted sense of humor like myself, would think all of Portland's homeless begging on the streets would be out in force trying to collect for the adrenalin rush of cars skidding 40 feet before the tires finding road friction. Pure "C" ticket ride rush.

But nothing. Nobody was brave enough to act as Ride Attendant and collect fares for the fun of last night.

Well, OK, I guess I will go sit in a corner for a while....

Phil
