A research team out of Japan discovered they could create embryonic stem cells, as well as producing eggs that will become healthy offspring.
They also discovered they could fertilize in-vitro with sperm created from stem cells as well.
They had success with mice by using skin stem cells and by using induced pluripotent stem cells in humans.
This will allow to have traits both partners without having surrogate cells involved.
However this procedure will still need a surrogate for the use of the Uterus.
