It was such a blessing to have had the opportunity to get the hell outta' there.

I could never understand why someone would want to move to a place that is not compatible with their political beliefs? Then once they get there try and change it into the place they'd just left? Make no mistake about it, they will try and change it. With their insatiable demands for more government control over every aspect of our lives. They'll never be happy until others are just as miserable as they are. At least that has been our experience living amongst them for the greater part of our lives.

Occasionally they'll be down on the square waving their little banners, shouting their little slogans and stamping their petty little feet in anger over God only knows what? It's always something, there's always some kind of cause. From abolishing the 2nd Amendment to banning plastic straws. Fortunately for the most part at least out here few people pay little if any attention to them.
I agree! I'm from NYC (Brooklyn) and I hate it. NYC is turning into a third world Country.

In a place like Prescott, most residents understand that whether policies are progressive, conservative, or libertarian, the outcomes of those policies do have an effect on how their town is operated, and it is often the very reason they choose to live in a place like Prescott. These policies affect what behaviors are acceptable, and they have logical and widespread results associated with them. People move to places like Prescott to avoid the sort of policies being adopted which result in the outcomes we see in places like Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, and hundreds of other places around this nation.

If you are moving to Prescott to avoid the sort of outcomes we see in large urban areas, you will likely get along fairly well. If you are moving to Prescott to bring with you big city policies, demands, activism, and pushing for those typical outcomes, you might run into some trouble getting along with most.

To the extent that conservatism and libertarianism both tend to instill personal views of minimalist government intrusion and strong support for individual liberty, I guess you could consider the population of rural areas like Prescott and the surrounding subdivisions as mostly conservative or libertarian. To the extent that progressivism tends to instill an activist push for greater government control, authority, growth of government programs, mandates, and "services", pre-determined outcomes, or a general disdain for individualism, you might find resistance to that mindset in places like Prescott.
Very well said. Thank you!

Indeed it is! California is already there. Unfortunately it's been going on for decades it's now at the point of no return. New York also has one of if not thee most corrupt legislatures in the country. Yet the people out there keep on electing them? Just the sight and sound of that self righteous, arrogant swine Cuomo is enough to make you sick. More than likely someone like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will be elected to congress. What does that have to tell you about the mindset of most New Yorkers? My God I'm just so glad I'm outta' there. I was like a fish outta' water there.

You've just gotta' live amongst Liberals to gain first hand experience to understand what a danger they are to our Constitutional Republic. Liberals are not out to improve anyone's lives. They depend and thrive on a permanent and burgeoning underclass in order to maintain their power structure. Those that are permanently dependent on government for their everyday needs are nothing more than slaves to Liberal social policies. And that's just where Liberals want to keep them. That's the only rational reason why Liberals advocate for open borders and the importation of tens of millions of impoverished illegal invaders from third world nations to our shores.

I just hope for your sake you can finally get outta' there too. It will be one of the best decisions you could ever make.

There are 8 levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a socialist state. The first is the most important.

1 Healthcare—control healthcare and you control the people
.

2 Poverty—increase the poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.

3 Debt—increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.

4 Gun control—Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.

5 Welfare—Take control of every aspect of their lives (food, housing, income)

6 Education—Take control of what people read and listen to–take control of what children learn in school.

7 Religion—Remove the belief in God from the Government and schools.

8 Class warfare—Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.

We moved to Prescott from CA because of the area being more conservative. We belong to RWOP
(Republican Woman of Prescott) which has the largest membership of any Republican Woman’s club in the nation, which tells you the area is primarily conservative. In CA, you could be “picked on” for not being a liberal, at least here most conservatives are accepting of all good people.
