My husband and I will be moving into the Dewey-Humoboldt/Prescott Valley area soon. In Wyoming you could have a logging company bring logs to your home to cut/split for firewood. It was much cheaper than buying split firewood by the cord. Is there anything like that available in this area?

We have a gas fireplace ourselves but I see ads all the time on the local Craig's List.

C&M Firewood in Chino Valley seems to be well regarded. I have no experience with them personally. 928-636-5487 is supposedly their phone number, but multiple reviews mention they are not good about answering their phone.

In my experience, the issue with Craigslist is you can get some great people but just as often you get some fly-by-night person who is just out to make a buck and doesn't care who gets swindled, or who can't be bothered to respond to messages or actually do what they advertise they will do.

Good luck with your move and welcome to the area! If I may ask, what part of Wyoming are you moving from?

Thank you for the information. We have actually been living in Kearny AZ for the past two years but find it too hot. That is why we are moving up to the Prescott area. Hoping for a little cooler summers but not the long, frigid winters of Wyoming and Michigan (where we were born and raised for 50+ years). We spent 5 years in Cody Wyoming. Loved the scenery. Hated the wind and the cold. Plus much more snow there than we were led to expect.
