As many penalties as he has had last year he should be lucky to be getting paid at all.

As much as I have always loved football, know quite a bit about it, this is really frustrating when you consider the billions and millions of dollars. I can see the players side somewhat when you consider owners like Jerry Jones and the monster stadium. New stadiums are a major expense, owners want money back from the players for them, players say why should they give back money to pay for them. Over simplifying what I read but then again, with millions or billions involved, just do it! :-(

Assuming the NFL were to match 2010 revenues in 2011, the players stand to lose $600 million under the owner-proposed agreement.
Just some rough numbers... the players had a share of 4.8B last year. They stand to earn 600M less next year. That is a 12.5% paycut. Its not negligible. And, in order for the players to get back to their 2010 earnings, the league would need to earn an extra 1B, a ~10% increase.
