Yes sir, that's what we did with the Redskin games, which were carried on local radio by guys who KNEW the game, like Sonny Jurgenson, etc. While the TV showed tons of stupid ads to sell trucks, we listened to Sonny explain the game to us.

These huge crews to cover a game reminds me of the cold war days, the USSR would create a big missile, we'd make a bigger one. Hell, Fox can't even get all six of the studio dudes in the picture without a wide angle lens or pulling back 25 feet to get all of the desk in the picture.

Needless to say, I don't watch these shows, they are just way too awful, and that's pre-game, in-game, half-time, or post-game.

I'm having a brain fart as far as TV goes, so I forget, but the radio programs around here go up until kickoff. TV probably goes off at 12 because the national shows need their coverage. But yeah, radio shows in Cleveland go up until kickoff.

Reminds me of my dad! Years ago he always watched baseball on TV but listened to the play-by-play on the radio!
